Move Orkney Studio

Class Rules and School Policies

·        Please be on time for class.

·        Leaving early from a dance class or coming in very late to class is disruptive to class peers and the teacher, please inform the teacher well in advance if this is the case.

·        Please come to class in full dance uniform for your chosen class.

(If you require a uniform please email stef with your sizes) 

·        Hair must be in a bun for ballet, any other class hair must be pulled back off the face for all classes.

·        Students and parents are responsible for putting name tags on shoes and uniform.

·        Water battle is required for every class from baby ballet to advanced classes.

·        Toilet please ensure you go before the class begins.

·        NO jewellery is allowed to be worn in any class this is for our student’s safety. 

·        No gum or food in the studio during class.

·        Water only in the studio.

·        Sibling of dance students must be with parent/carer at all times.

·        When leaving belongings in the changing room students do so at their own risk move Orkney cannot take responsibility of lost or stolen items.

·        New and existing students when attending Move Orkney we ask that you commit to our dance programme and do not attend any other dance organisations that teach the same Genres while attending classes with Move Orkney.

·        Dance shows and assessments please be advised that attendance and team work are important therefor class attendance will be monitored towards the run up to these events, to many missed classes will result in no participation.

·        Please ensure respect is given towards teachers, peers and one another at all times.

·        When using the changing/waiting area please ensure there is no one getting changed before entering.

·         Please do not move others belongings or bags around, buggies are asked to be kept outside as the changing/waiting area is small.

·        The TV is there for siblings of students to use however please be respectful that it is a changing area first and foremost.
